WWF is one of the leading conservation organizations working actively in nearly 100 countries, with local and global communities, to sustain the natural world for the benefit of people and wildlife. In 2010, all 13 tiger range governments came together for the first time at the St Petersburg Summit where they committed to double the number of wild tigers by 2022, the next Year of the Tiger. WWF played a critical role in creating a shared vision for tiger conservation by committing to the same goal. WWF continues to drive the TX2 goal forward, supporting the 13 tiger range governments to take action and fulfill their commitments with partnership, policy advice, and collaborative solutions.
Young people everywhere have started raising their voices for the survival of tigers. They're aware, informed, and active in tiger conservation, and we're pleased to be hosting the International Tiger Youth Summit 2022 to celebrate these inspiring youth from 13 different countries! This virtual summit will display exhibitions for art and stories that have been submitted from across the globe; launch activity rooms that will be available to network in or play games in; and facilitate rich discussions around tiger conservation with our esteemed panellists and youth innovators. There will be a global representation of youth from across 13 Tiger Range Countries.
